Anna and the Pony 23

Buzzy and Dan wasted no time and flew off in one direction while Anna and Splash escaped in the opposite. Meanwhile Ozzy was in the fight of his life with a bird bigger than him. He was trying to figure out what to do? Ospreys hunt fish almost exclusively. It is an art that involves a practiced to perfection routine that happens in flight at speeds of up to eighty miles an hour. Facing the enemy while standing at zero miles per hour, was not in his wheel house.

The two birds circled around each other like boxers in a ring.

“You’re going to pay for scaring the Candi princess away!” Snarled the snow goose. “Not so easy to take one of us out when you don’t have your speed behind you, is it fish-eater?”

Ozzy replied, while continuing to circle, “You know what the difference is between a goose and a bucket with a cow pie in it? Ahh, ah, ah,” Ozzy said and shook his finger in a no-no fashion. “Don’t answer. It was what intelligent creatures call a “rhetorical”

question. That means you aren’t expected to reply because the answer is obvious. But I’m guessing you don’t know the answer so I will tell you. The difference my friend with a face so ugly only a mother could love it, is the bucket! Sound familiar?”

Then Ozzy suddenly jumped into the air and did a summersault kicking the big snow goose and sending him backwards until he lost balance and then tumbled backwards over himself. Ozzy turned and took off into the air where he now had advantage. The goose might be able to fly further, maybe even higher, but he wasn’t going to out maneuver an osprey! Ozzy gave the goose a dive scare before heading off in search of his friends and the girl called Anna.
