Wendigo, Dogman and Bigfoot Fishing Trip 18

It was maybe five hours at the most until the sun came up. The one thing neither man had brought with them was a watch. Who needs to know what time it is when you are out camping? Of course, this would be a mistake neither man would ever make again. It did them little good that night however. After allowing themselves to become accustomed to the dark surroundings they concluded they were alone. The decision was made to turn on a flashlight long enough to get a small fire going. Both men were cold from swimming and a fire would be all the difference. Dry wood was gathered and about an hour after climbing out of the water they had a fire.

Both men had ate before they went into the water but many calories are used when swimming. They were in need of rest more than food however so they fell asleep next to the fire. The next morning they woke up to a sunny summer morning that promised everything was possible. Neither man was quite that optimistic however but at least they had put the darkness behind them for another twelve or more hours.

They looked around and were able to find some fishing line they had cut off their reels when opportunity arose. If you weren’t doing it already it is a good idea to pull the first four or five feet of line off your pole and then tie on your hook. That last few feet of fishing line is exposed to the weather more, it will most likely prove to be the weakest spot on your line should you test it. A few feet cut away is a small price to pay for having line you can trust.
