They spent the rest of that day giving rides and were invited to sleep over by one of the villagers. A man named Hubert who had a family of four. Anna quickly agreed. The next day Anna decided she could trust the family so she told them information which could get them in a lot of trouble and get her and Splash arrested or maybe worse. “My name isn’t Anna. That is a name I invented to protect me from the Dark Queen. My real name is Princess Anna. I was separated from my parents the King and Queen.” The father of the family asked, “Would that be of Castle Candi? Would your parents be named Carmel and Cotton?” “Yes! I took a big chance telling you this. I can only hope you are loyal to the crown.” Anna replied, looking a little scared. “Relax dear. You are among friends. My name is Hubert. Sad to say however that I do not know what has come of your mother and father. The good news is that neither does the Dark Queen. If she did they wouldn’t have the Geese Police out looking. And last I heard they were making the rounds. ” Hubert held out his hands in a calming motion. “Do not fret. This entire village is loyal to your parents. We have lookouts stationed to warn us if the Geese Police appear on the horizon. You are safe here until that time.” Anna allowed herself to relax. Then she said, “Thank you so much. I have a lead on my parent’s whereabouts. I am suppose to meet with him tomorrow. Could we stay one more night?” “Surely my dear. As long as you need, or that it is safe.” Hubert answered. “Enjoy the day with us and sleep well tonight. It sounds like your adventure may begin tomorrow. My wife is fixing food which will be served shortly. Please make yourself at home.” “Thank you again!” Anna replied sincerely. She peered out the window and in the distance there was a large pasture that had a herd of horses grazing. Upon inquiring to the neighbor, she found out that the herd was wild and that every once in a while they are able to catch one.
