Anna and the Pony 20

“A fair assumption.” Dan agreed. “Following that logic, perhaps if she had been as toasted as Buzzy is most the time; we’d not be speaking of her now. Between how much he sleeps and how bad he smells; there would have been limited amount of opportunity to spread anything.”

“Good night Dan.”

“Good night Princess.”

“Up and at ’em!” Dan said while brushing himself off.

“Seems like I just shut my eyes.” Anna replied. She wiped her eyes and tried to fix herself as best as possible under the conditions.

“I’d have let you sleep longer but the GP are on the horizon. We need to get the flock out of here. We can work our way back around to where you need to meet Ozzy but we should get started now. ” Dan said, pointing toward the V-shaped flight pattern of the Geese Police. ” They will be here quick enough. Always plan to beat the rush.”

Anna yawned and stretched. “What about Buzzy?”

“Wake him if you want to, or leave him be. They won’t bother him.” Dan replied.

“Why is that”” Anna asked.

“Would you?”

“Come to think of it. Probably not. I’m contemplating whether to wake him up now. Don’t know if I can take the morning breath.” Anna admitted.

“Just don’t get him too close to any flames.” Dan warned. “If he breathes out it will be a forest fire.”

“I sure feel sorry for whoever has to kiss him good morning.” Anna noted.

“It can’t be good if you start it like that.” Dan said.

“Concentrating on the good, he at least has stopped throwing up on himself.” Anna said optimistically.

“Ain’t life grand?” Dan replied. “Better tell ol’ Splash to make himself big enough for you to climb on and lets get the flock out of here!”

They did just that. The trio flew away from the spot and found a place which allowed them to see a few hours pass without incident. When the sun began to climb across the sky, they took off to meet Ozzy the Osprey at the same spot they had escaped just two days prior. It was a sunny morning with a slight breeze. Only a few big white puffy clouds were visible the rest of the sky was blue and clear. The scene from where they had escaped two days prior, told a story of tyranny and oppression.
