The sun rose on the horizon bringing another beautiful day. Funny woke and went out to see what was going on with the new arrivals. He saw there was a young girl in the back yard, his back yard, and she was carrying some sort of contraption. Funny climbed under the fence and moved to a position which would allow him to see what she was doing. It involved soapy water. He could see that she had brought out a bucket filled with it. Funny glanced around to make sure he was safe. Then he watched what the girl was doing. She set up a zip line that ended going into the contraption. The girl went inside and came back out with a banner that said two words. Doll Wash. Funny was confused. He’d never heard of a doll wash before. What sort of thing could it be? Then the girls mother came out the back door and called her inside saying it was just about time for dinner. Funny couldn’t believe it. He had wasted the entire day spying on what this little girl was doing. Well at least he did have the answer to that question. She was making a doll wash. What the world was a doll wash? He would check it out in stealth mode. Chapter 6 Funny came outside and pretended he was wearing an all black ninja suit. He did a somersault out the entrance/exit hole and stopped rolling when he hit a bush. Next his head popped up looking this way, then the other way. He decided the coast was clear so he tip-toe-hopped over to where the zip line was ready to take off. Funny climbed up onto the podium and reached up to where the zip line was at and the next thing he knew he was zipping across the back yard. A huge smile came across his face as the wind raced past his cheeks and blew his whiskers almost straight backwards. He leaned his head into the wind and never lost that smile across his face. Now he was picking up speed. His ears began to flap behind him and then suddenly… wham! The next thing he experienced was falling into the doll wash. It was all happening at once. Funny, screaming like a little girl as he fell down inside the doll wash. First he was hit with soapy water and then he fell through a series of brushes that scrubbed him clean. Next he was spit out into a cubicle that kicked on a hair dryer that blew him from both sides and underneath. He walked out of the doll wash looking like a round, fuzzy grey ball of fur with two black eyes looking out of it. next page |  Funny on the zip line!  Funny after the doll wash! |
