Bunny Babies 3

The Bunny family was very aware of this fact. There was Fuddy, the oldest male of the bunch, grandpa or pappa to everybody else. then came his children who now also had children. It was a dynasty that anybody would find proud to have fathered.

On this beautiful bright summer morning the entire colony was gathered for strategy meeting. Fuddy didn’t want to lose anybody to Stephen King or any other danger that was out there waiting for them.

“Okay, reports are that Stephen King has been cruising the jungle”: the rabbit word for the neighborhood, “during afternoon hours.” Fuddy stopped to inhale and adjust his glasses, and then continued, “I don’t want any family member outside the burrow”: the rabbit word for their underground home, “during that time.”

There was an uneasy murmur among the colony. Everyone knew that there were risks involved whenever SK was mentioned but at the same time he had saved more bunnies than he was known to have eaten. Those numbers might be different if the colony knew for sure how every member that was passed, had met their end. As it was however there were just too many normal-size cats and dogs of all breeds, roaming around the jungle to blame SK for all the disappearances. In fact the colony was quite split on how they should view Stephen King? It was a complex relationship which will be discussed in detail at a future moment. For now suffice to say there were as many dangers haunting the jungle when SK wasn’t around, as his presence assured when he was out and about.
