Wendigo, Dogman and Bigfoot Fishing Trip 5

“No big surprise to me. They have a long history with the Souix. We call them Chiha Tanka; means big elder brother. Of course, there are other tribes that do not view them so intimately. There are a few tribes which refer to them as giant cannibals. I cannot say which is the more correct assumption about them. I do believe if they were that dangerous that my people would have viewed them in a much different light.”

“If you had told me ‘cannibals’ this morning, I would have been packing up to go and been on the lake by noon. Now it being so late in the day, so much we would have to pack up, then add into the equation the excellent fishing and I say we stay the night and fish.” Jess said.

George let go a sigh and replied, “Well the thing is we could have moved and we might have found a spot that bothers them a lot more than us fishing here.”

“True, but we know they don’t want us here. Wouldn’t it have been prudent to move and take our chances somewhere else?”

George laughed and shook his head in agreement. “Well as I said, we don’t look at them as being dangerous. We just always chose to not bother them and in turn they didn’t bother us. There are some old stories about them coming into camps and taking women but those stories were thought to be just made up tales.”
