Through the early part of the dark night the fish were biting and the men simply didn’t have time to pay attention to what was going on in the wilderness surrounding them. Then an hour or two before midnight they began to notice the activity was increasing. There was a lot more of that indistinguishable chatter. Then about midnight the rocks started coming. At first it was just a few splashes in the water out in front of the men. That was about an hour before midnight when things really escalated. Two things happened which separtaed the first part of the night from the next part. At first the fish were biting and keeping the men very busy. Next came the rocks splashing in the water which killed the fish biting. By about one in the morning things had gotten so bad the men decided to go ahead and start cleaning their early catch so they could get to sleep earlier than before. That was when the big splashes started. These were much bigger size rocks that were being thrown into the lake. They were also aimed more toward the men standing on the shore line then the previous barrages which were clearly done to scare off the fish. next page | ![]() |
